Medical Scheme

Danger

It is compulsory for all Glucode employees to have medical cover.

Glucode provides an optional “Group Medical Scheme”.

The scheme is run by Discovery Health.

If you join the Glucode Group Medical Scheme the following applies:

  • You must choose a suitable medical plan.
  • Glucode will contribute 2% of your base salary towards your medical plan premium.
  • The balance of the premium will be deducted from the your salary at the end of each month and paid over to Discovery Health.
  • A tax benefit applies.
  • If you join the scheme within a 3 (three) months period from your start date, you are not subject to underwriting and waiting periods.

If you decide to not join the Glucode Group Medical Scheme the following applies:

  • You will be required to provide Glucode with a membership certificate to confirm that you have medical cover.
  • Glucode will not contribute towards your medical plan premium.

This benefit is provided by Glucode on a non-contractual basis at the Company’s sole discretion. It may be amended, adjusted, or withdrawn at any time, with any changes communicated to employees in accordance with applicable policies and legal requirements. The details of this benefit are outlined in this Handbook, as updated from time to time.
